Overview Inpatient PsychiatristLocation: Riverwoods Behavioral Health, 223 Medical Center Drive, Riverdale, GA 30274We are currently seeking to add a Full-Time Psychiatrist to join our team!About the roleThis role is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.Our TeamOur passionate team of professionals focuses on individualized treatment. That means working with our patients from our first interaction to understand the issues and triggers that have brought them to Riverwoods and involving them in the creation of treatment plans that create a base for sustaining long-term recovery. RiverWoods Behavioral Health is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, the leading provider of medication-assisted treatment in the nation. Our team provides compassionate, high-quality counseling, therapy, medication, and guidance to patients seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder. Caseload: 20-25 patients dailySchedule: Full time, Monday - FridayOn Call Schedule: FR 5pm – MO; 7am 1 weekend per monthCompensation: 1099 $5,000 monthly stipend Responsibilities Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facilityPractice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or proceduresReview medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendationsEvaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disordersTreat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medicationsReview and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely mannerMaintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures Qualifications Education/Experience/Skills RequirementsDoctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) REQUIREDOne or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferredLicensed in the state in which the facility(s) operateLicenses/CertificationsBoard Certification or Board Eligibility in psychiatryCurrent DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be workingOur Comprehensive Treatment Network~23,500 Employees · ~11,400 Beds · 258 Locations · 38 States · 1 Network As a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services in the United States and Puerto Rico, Acadia Healthcare operates 258 treatment facilities across 38 states.
