Our attorneys assert a client-centric mindset that guides each case, while maintaining a collegial culture where exceptional lawyers want to work.About the RoleHall Prangle is seeking to hire a full-time associate in its Chicago office who has between 3-6 years experience as a practicing litigator, ideally with a background in insurance defense, medical malpractice, or healthcare law. Associates will work with small teams of attorneys and paralegals, led by seasoned trial attorneys with proven track records, all working collaboratively to efficiently provide our clients with the best possible results. The right candidate will be skilled and hard-working as well as pleasant and personable.ResponsibilitiesProvide legal counsel and representation to the firm's clients from pre-trial through trialDraft legal documents including pleadings, motions, written discovery, and agreementsAttend court hearings, depositions, trials, and client meetingsConduct legal research and case analysisCollaborate with senior associates and partners on case strategyContribute to business development and client relationship managementWhat You Will Need to SucceedJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the Illinois State Bar3-6 years' experience in the defense of medical malpractice cases or practicing healthcare lawStrong understanding of State and Federal court rules and proceduresStrong litigation, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsExcellent legal research and writing skillsExceptional oral and written communicationHow You Will GrowHall Prangle's senior attorneys, education committee, and mentorship program prioritize providing our attorneys with the tools to learn and grow within the firm.
