Behavioral Health Associate - Kahi Mohala Child Adolescent (Full-Time, 40, Evening)

RESPONSIBILITIES Effective Date: 05/24 I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in the planning and implementation of patient care on the inpatient and/or outpatient behavioral health units at The Queen’s Medical Center – Kahi Mohala (QMC‑KM). Performs duties in accordance with established departmental and Medical Center policies and procedures. II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS Essential: standing, sitting, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting weight up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 5 pounds of force, carrying usual weight of 25 pounds up to 30 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, frequent gripping of an object. Occasional: climbing stairs, squatting. III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS May be exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions. May be exposed to communicable diseases from patients. Patients may be aggressive and/or paranoid. IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field; or four (4) years progressive experience in a behavioral health setting may be substituted for the education experience. Must meet and maintain credentialing requirements with the State of Hawaii Child & Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD). Valid U.S. driver's license required in accordance with Hawaii State law rules and regulations. Driver's abstract or evidence of good driving record required. Current BLS certification. B. EXPERIENCE One (1) year experience working in a behavioral health setting preferred; i.e., inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs.
