Position: Union Payroll Specialist Location: South Bend, IN Area | Onsite About The Opportunity For a Union Payroll Specialist Join a respected construction company with a strong reputation and steady project pipeline Be a key member of the accounting and finance team, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing Work in a collaborative environment where your expertise in union payroll and construction accounting will make an immediate impact Overview Of The Union Payroll Specialist Role Process weekly payroll for union construction employees in a fast-paced environment Administer multiple collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and union wage classifications Calculate and process union dues, fringe benefits, pension, health & welfare, apprenticeship, and other fund contributions Prepare and submit union remittance reports accurately and on schedule Manage certified payroll reporting and ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements Review timesheets, job classifications, wage rates, and labor allocations for accuracy Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, reporting, and month-end activities Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and union payroll regulations Preferred Qualifications For The Union Payroll Specialist Role 3+ years of payroll experience within the construction industry Hands-on experience processing union payroll and interpreting collective bargaining agreements Knowledge of prevailing wage regulations, certified payroll, and fringe benefit calculations Experience preparing union remittance reports and managing benefit fund contributions Strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, and compliance requirements Experience with construction payroll/accounting software such as Viewpoint, Foundation, Spectrum, CMiC, ADP, or similar systems Advanced attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Strong Excel and payroll reporting experience preferred Salary $68,000 – $78,000 annually #J-18808-Ljbffr CFS
