Logistics CoordinatorWe are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support transportation and supply chain operations during a high-volume seasonal period. This individual will coordinate daily shipping activities, communicate with transportation providers, monitor deliveries, and help resolve logistical challenges to ensure customers receive their orders accurately and on time.The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations, along with strong customer service skills and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel. This position requires someone who can manage multiple priorities, analyze transportation data, and communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.Key responsibilities include:Coordinate daily freight movements and work with transportation providers to ensure shipments meet customer delivery expectations.Review outstanding orders, carrier assignments, shipping schedules, and transportation exceptions to identify potential delays.Confirm carrier availability and transportation capabilities to support efficient order fulfillment.Collaborate with distribution, customer service, sales, and other internal departments to address shipping concerns and maintain smooth operations.Act as a point of contact for assigned transportation partners, providing updates on shipment progress, delivery schedules, and service-related matters.Respond to customer inquiries and provide accurate information regarding order status and expected delivery dates.Track transportation metrics, including delivery performance, inventory availability, and carrier reliability.Evaluate shipping options based on transportation costs, carrier capacity, routing requirements, and customer needs.Assist with resolving freight billing discrepancies, payment questions, and transportation-related claims.Collect and maintain required shipping documentation, including bills of lading, proof-of-delivery records, and carrier insurance certificates.Support transportation contract administration and ensure carrier documentation remains current and accurate.Utilize SAP and Excel to review logistics information, maintain records, and support reporting activities.Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, minimize delays, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.Provide additional administrative and operational support to the transportation team as needed.Qualifications include:1–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, business operations, or a related field.Hands-on experience using SAP is required.Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with PivotTables and VLOOKUP.Previous customer service experience with strong communication and relationship-management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.Ability to analyze transportation information, identify discrepancies, and resolve operational issues efficiently.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent attention to detail when reviewing shipment information, documentation, and reporting.Comfortable working independently while collaborating with multiple departments and external partners.Experience with warehouse management systems, transportation management platforms, or similar reporting tools is preferred.Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing customer and carrier concerns.Additional details include:Seasonal contract with an anticipated duration through March.Casual office environment.Perks include:Opportunity to gain experience with a well-established global manufacturing organization.Collaborative supply chain team environment.Exposure to high-volume transportation operations and logistics coordination.Opportunity to strengthen analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
