Givens Talent is hiring Culinary Workers to support catering and special events throughout Hampton Roads. This role is ideal for individuals with kitchen, food service, catering, banquet, or restaurant experience who enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.

Culinary Workers assist with food preparation, plating, event service support, and kitchen cleanup to help deliver a successful guest experience at weddings, corporate events, banquets, and private functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal assembly before and during events
• Plate meals according to presentation standards
• Support buffet, serving, and food station operations
• Replenish food items throughout events as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment as needed
• Assist with loading, unloading, setup, and breakdown of catering equipment
• Work closely with chefs, event captains, servers, and bartenders to ensure smooth event execution

Qualifications

• Previous food service, catering, restaurant, banquet, or kitchen experience preferred
• Understanding of basic food handling and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable transportation to event locations throughout Hampton Roads

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
