Associate Attorney

We are seeking an Associate Attorney for a civil litigation defense firm known for delivering strategic, high-quality representation to insurers, corporations, and businesses across California. The firm handles complex, high-exposure matters while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented environment that emphasizes mentorship, professional growth, and hands-on litigation experience. Responsibilities : Involved in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation, with increasing responsibility based on experience and performance. Defend clients in toxic tort, product liability, trucking/transportation, and premises liability matters Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and motions Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda Assist with and attend depositions, mediations, and court hearings Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy Support trial preparation and case management activities Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active membership in the California State Bar Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Interest in civil litigation defense and long-term professional growth Benefits Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Health and dental insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and holidays Mentorship and hands-on training from experienced litigators
