Plant Maintenance Technician

Pay rate $28.50 up to $30.15 with no Medical Insurance! Starting July 1st, 2026, up to $33.15 CANDIDATES MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. Responsibilities Diagnose failures and repair accordingly. Install, and repair complex mechanical equipment using test and diagnostic equipment. Repair power distribution systems, involving work of a varied nature with minimum supervision. Assume duties in absence of Maintenance Supervisor. Work from blueprints, schematics and verbal instructions. Direct work of subordinates as required. Train subordinates as required. Requirements & Qualifications Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong background in vehicle maintenance, trucks, ideally catering trucks. Accurately and quickly diagnose complex equipment failures. Skill level must include fabrication, assembly, welding, cutting, and other related skills. Work from blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions. Use CMMS to schedule and perform maintenance. Know location of all shop equipment. Must be able to start, stop, and operate all equipment. Complete routine paperwork as required. Must have excellent attendance. Must be able to work under pressure. Must be able to manually lift 50 pounds. Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States. Pass a background check and clear a drug screen. Be able to stand for the full duration of the shift. Be able to work in a 38‑degree cold room when necessary. Be a team player and work well with a diverse team from all over the world. Ability to comprehend verbal & written specifications in English. Possess basic math skills. Be able to work a flexible schedule; this is a 24‑hour operation, 7 days a week. Additional Eligibility Requirements and Details This is a union position – must be willing to pay union dues after 14 days. Must be available to work a full‑time position, including weekends and holidays as needed. Must be able to complete the application/orientation process in English. Ability to lift 25+ pounds occasionally, 50+ pounds frequently & 10+ pounds consistently. Bend, stoop & twist repeatedly & stand for 8‑12 hours a day. #J-18808-Ljbffr
