Make an impact supporting students as you take on a contract Special Education case management role in the Saint Paul, MN area. In this pivotal interim position, you'll coordinate and oversee initial evaluations for students referred to special education, ensuring every step meets stringent IDEA, state, and local compliance standards.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the process of collecting, interpreting, and analyzing evaluation data from observations, assessments, teachers, parents, and service providers.
• Produce evaluation reports that fully comply with all regulations and guidelines.
• Guide case managers in adhering to due process timelines and compliance requirements, sometimes completing portions or full due process documentation.
• Review outgoing due process documents and provide feedback to reflect necessary program changes from IEP team decisions.
• Verify that student records, IEPs, and evaluation files are complete and flag compliance concerns for follow-up.
• Supervise students during transitional times such as bus duty and meal periods on a rotational basis.
• Perform additional related duties to support the team and student success.

What we’re seeking:

• Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (EBD, LD, ASD, DHH, or Oral/Aural Education).
• At least three years of classroom teaching experience.
• Solid understanding of compliance and due process standards outlined by the Minnesota Department of Education.
• Experience in collaborative learning settings and strong interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with technology, data entry, and standard office protocols.
• Ability to pass required background and drug screenings; authorization to work in the US.
• 3+ years of administrative experience and prior work in urban, diverse schools are a plus.
