General Dermatologist - Coastal Virginia - $500K Year 1 - 4 Day Work Week

Dermatology Opportunity in Newport News / Coastal Virginia area

An established private dermatology practice in the Coastal Virginia area is looking for a General Dermatologist or Dermatopathologist to join a busy outpatient practice with an established patient base and a broad mix of medical, surgical, cosmetic, and pediatric dermatology. The practice sees approximately 30-35 patients per day, offers flexibility around a four or five-day schedule, and has a partnership track after two years.

Practice Overview

• Join a private outpatient dermatology practice with an active patient base; typical volume 30-35 patients/day (15-minute visits)

• Broad scope: medical derm (45%), surgical derm including excisions/flaps/grafts (35%), cosmetics (10%), pediatrics (10%); no Mohs

• Support and setup: 2-3 exam/procedure rooms per physician; 2 dedicated MAs/scribes per physician

• On-site resources: phototherapy (UVB/PUVA), PDT (red/blue), and cosmetic devices/lasers (IPL, Fraxel, Pulsed Dye); biopsies sent out (no in-house dermpath lab)

Schedule

• Fleible 4 or 5 days/week outpatient clinic and office-based procedures (Mon-Thu 8:00a-5:00p; Fri 8:00a-4:00p)

• Call: 1-week rotation per provider; phone-only with minimal volume

• EHR: ModMed (EMA)

Compensation & Benefits

• Year 1 base salary guarantee: $450,000

• Bonus model: tiered net collections

• Sign-on bonus: $50,000 (paid on first paycheck) plus $10,000 relocation allowance

• Benefits: malpractice included; medical/dental/vision; 401(k) with company match; CME $4,000; PTO 4 weeks plus 8 holidays; partnership track after 2 years with financed buy-in

Candidate Requirements

• MD/DO

• Board eligible or board certified in Dermatology

• Open to new grads and experienced physicians

• Comfort supervising on-site NPs/PAs as the collaborating physician
