What We Offer Medical Unit Receptionist (MUR) Forsyth Medical Center | Winston-Salem, NC Full-Time | Nights | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM | Monday–Friday | Weekends as Needed Join Our Hematology/Oncology Team We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and compassionate Medical Unit Receptionist (MUR) to support our Hematology/Oncology team. You’ll serve as an important connection between patients, families, and the healthcare team while helping keep the unit organized and running efficiently. What You’ll Do Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors. Answer and direct multi-line phone calls and relay messages. Respond to patient questions and concerns. Serve as a liaison between patients, nurses, physicians, and other departments. Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges with accurate documentation. Communicate with Telemetry regarding cardiac monitoring. Notify nurses and team leaders of patient movement and departures. Assist with regulatory and compliance checklists. Maintain an organized front desk and ensure supplies, linens, and patient-care areas are stocked. Provide administrativeand operational support to the healthcare team. Assist with additional duties as needed to promote safe, efficient patient care. What We're Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience: One year experience in healthcare, preferred. Licensure/Certification: NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Additional Skills (preferred): Experience with answering multiple phone lines. Basic computer skills. Excellent customer service behaviors. Why Choose Novant Health?
