Occupational Therapist PositionRocketship Public Schools is looking for a thoughtful, collaborative, and student centered Occupational Therapist to support students across our Milwaukee school community.The Occupational Therapist provides school based occupational therapy services that help students access instruction, participate fully in the school environment, and make meaningful progress toward individualized goals. This role provides both direct and indirect services to students and works closely with families, teachers, school leaders, special education teams, related service providers, and network support staff.This role is especially important in helping students with disabilities build the sensory, motor, adaptive, self regulation, and functional participation skills they need to thrive at school.This position reports to the Associate Director of Student Services.What You Will DoAs an Occupational Therapist, you will help students access learning, participate with confidence, and receive the individualized support they need to be successful in school.You will:Provide high quality occupational therapy services to students across Rocketship school sitesDeliver direct and indirect services aligned to Individualized Education Programs, 504 Plans, and student needsSupport students with sensory, motor, adaptive, self regulation, and functional participation needsComplete evaluations and develop educationally relevant recommendations, goals, and service plansParticipate in IEP and 504 meetings to share evaluation findings, student progress, and recommended supportsCollaborate with teachers, families, school leaders, related service providers, and network staffProvide consultation and guidance to help school teams support students in inclusive learning environmentsMaintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation related to services, evaluations, progress, and student recordsStudent Services and SupportThe Occupational Therapist provides services that help students participate meaningfully in the classroom and school environment.This includes supporting students with sensory processing, fine motor skills, motor planning, adaptive skills, self regulation, classroom participation, and functional school routines.The Occupational Therapist monitors student progress, adjusts services based on data and team input, and helps school teams implement recommendations, accommodations, modifications, and supports.Evaluations, IEPs, and 504 PlansThe Occupational Therapist leads evaluations related to sensory motor development, functional school participation, and occupational therapy needs.This role includes preparing clear and compliant assessment reports, developing educationally relevant IEP goals and service recommendations, and participating in IEP and 504 meetings.The Occupational Therapist collaborates with IEP and 504 teams to ensure student plans are appropriate, compliant, and driven by student needs.Collaboration and ConsultationThe Occupational Therapist is an important partner to students, families, and school teams.This role includes consulting with teachers, administrators, families, special education staff, related service providers, and outside providers when appropriate.The Occupational Therapist may also support school teams through the Multi Tiered System of Supports process and provide training or guidance to teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and school staff.The Occupational Therapist serves as a collaborative member of the ISE Network Support Team and helps strengthen student support across the organization.Compliance and DocumentationThe Occupational Therapist maintains accurate, timely, and compliant documentation, including service logs, evaluation records, progress updates, and required student records.This role is responsible for meeting required timelines related to evaluations, IEPs, 504 Plans, service delivery, and compliance requirements.The Occupational Therapist maintains practice in alignment with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and professional standards.Who We Are Looking ForWe are looking for an Occupational QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or universityValid license to provide occupational therapy services in Wisconsin, or ability to obtain required Wisconsin licensure prior to the start of employmentStrong understanding of occupational therapy practices in an educational settingAbility to provide services to students across multiple school sitesExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organization skills and ability to maintain records, meet deadlines, and manage compliance responsibilitiesAbility to collaborate effectively with students, families, teachers, school leaders, service providers, and network staffCommitment to Rocketship Public Schools mission and belief in the potential of every studentAbility to remain flexible, adaptive, and solutions focusedPossession of a valid driver's license and willingness to provide transportation for work assignments, as travel between school sites is requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience working with elementary studentsExperience providing occupational therapy services in a school settingExperience working with students with a range of disabilities, including learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disabilities, autism, developmental delays, and sensory motor needsExperience participating in IEP and 504 meetingsExperience supporting inclusive practices and collaborating with multidisciplinary school teamsCompensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this role is $70,000 to $77,500 annually.Final compensation is based on relevant experience and in accordance with the applicable salary schedule for related service providers.Rocketship Public Schools also offers a competitive benefits package designed to support the
