Activity Aide

Edith Lane of Cincinnati is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activity Aide to join our team! In this role, you'll help create engaging activities that promote socialization, independence, and overall well-being for our residents. Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily recreational and therapeutic activities. Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities. Escort residents to and from activity programs as needed. Help decorate and prepare for seasonal events, holidays, and special celebrations. Maintain activity supplies and assist with setting up and cleaning up events. Build positive relationships with residents while promoting dignity, respect, and independence. Document resident attendance and participation according to facility policies. Assist with outings and community events when scheduled. Work closely with the Activities Director and interdisciplinary team to meet residents' individual interests and needs. Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment during all activities. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, recreation, customer service, childcare, or a related field is preferred but not required. Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist residents as needed during activities. Must be dependable, organized, and flexible with scheduling. Why Join Edith Lane?
