Senior Project Manager

Project Manager - Senior, Capital Projects and Facility ExpansionWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years of project management experience and advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 to lead complex capital projects, facility expansions, tool installations, infrastructure upgrades, and cross-functional engineering initiatives.The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects while managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications. This individual will serve as the primary point of coordination between Engineering, Facilities, Operations, Construction, Procurement, Finance, Equipment Engineering, Contractors, and external suppliers.ResponsibilitiesLead projects from concept through commissioning and turnover.Develop detailed project execution plans, milestones, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying complexity and priorities.Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.Primavera P6 Scheduling Develop, maintain, and manage integrated master schedules using Primavera P6.Build and maintain project baselines, critical paths, resource-loaded schedules, and schedule forecasts.Establish schedule logic, constraints, relationships, and milestones.Perform schedule risk assessments and recovery planning.Generate schedule reports, look-ahead plans, variance analyses, and earned-value metrics.Facilitate schedule reviews with stakeholders and project teams.Budget & Cost ManagementDevelop project budgets and capital expenditure forecasts.Track project spending and commitments.Monitor project financial performance and identify cost risks.Review contractor bids, change orders, and payment applications.Provide monthly financial reporting and forecast updates.Stakeholder & Team LeadershipLead cross-functional project teams consisting of engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, quality, safety, and construction personnel.Conduct project meetings and provide executive-level status updates.Manage contractor performance and vendor relationships.Coordinate activities among internal and external stakeholders.Risk ManagementIdentify and mitigate project risks.Maintain project risk registers and mitigation plans.Escalate critical issues impacting cost, schedule, safety, or quality.Develop contingency and recovery plans when necessary.Construction & Installation OversightCoordinate design reviews, permitting activities, procurement, construction, equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.Monitor contractor performance and field execution progress.Participate in construction walkthroughs and project readiness reviews.Reporting & DocumentationMaintain project documentation and records.Develop executive dashboards and progress presentations.Prepare weekly and monthly project reports.Present project status to senior leadership and stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related technical discipline.PMP Certification preferred.ExperienceMinimum 10 years of project management experience.Minimum 5 years managing large capital projects ($1M-$100M+ preferred).Experience leading cross-functional engineering and construction projects.Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, industrial facilities, pharmaceuticals, data centers, advanced manufacturing, or similar environments preferred.Technical SkillsAdvanced Primavera P6 scheduling experience.Strong understanding of critical path methodology (CPM).Experience with schedule development, resource loading, and cost-loaded schedules.Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Experience with project controls, earned value management, and forecasting.Familiarity with procurement, construction management, and commissioning processes.Knowledge AreasCapital project executionEngineering design lifecycleConstruction managementContract administrationCost control and forecastingChange managementRisk managementFacility infrastructure systemsTool installation and industrial equipment deploymentPreferred QualificationsPMP (Project Management Professional)PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional)OSHA 30 CertificationLean Six Sigma CertificationPrimavera P6 Professional CertificationExperience managing cleanroom, utility, semiconductor, or manufacturing facility projectsKey CompetenciesStrategic planningLeadership and team developmentExecutive communicationNegotiation and conflict resolutionSchedule managementFinancial acumenDecision makingProblem solvingStakeholder managementOrganizational skillsPerformance MetricsSchedule adherenceBudget performanceSafety performanceCapital project deliveryRisk mitigation effectivenessChange order managementStakeholder satisfactionResource utilizationProject closeout efficiencySalary: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $101,700 to $172,700 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of the internal equity of our current team members.
