Job Summary

As a Patient Care Technician, you will perform a variety of clinical and technical tasks including CPR, vital signs monitoring, telemetry support, EKG acquisition, wound care, phlebotomy, and assisting with patient mobility and personal care. You will also support administrative duties such as documenting patient data, transcribing physician orders, and coordinating diagnostic tests.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of a Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, and ambulation.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, responding promptly to patient needs and communicating effectively with healthcare team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and supplies, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
• Participate actively in team efforts, including responding to emergency codes and supporting co-workers.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
• One to two years of experience in a patient care setting, preferably acute care.
• Telemetry experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical Assistant Phlebotomy certification preferred.
