Respiratory Therapist - Full-Time

We seek a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our collaborative healthcare team in Ironwood, Michigan. Ironwood offers a welcoming community, affordable living, and year-round outdoor recreation in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula.

Position Overview:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide critical respiratory care services to patients of all ages in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and support respiratory health across our continuum of care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed (e.g., oxygen, nebulizers, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator support)
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy and adjust plans accordingly
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and interpret results
• Set up and manage mechanical ventilation
• Provide education to patients and families on respiratory conditions and equipment use
• Participate in emergency and code response teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Michigan
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred or must be obtained upon hire
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team
