Job Description The primary responsibility of Drafter is to deliver complete and accurate drafting outputs, including drawings, shop details, and bills of materials (BOMs) while ensuring high quality and on-time delivery aligned with customer-specific requirements. This role demands advanced technical knowledge of commercial building systems, pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs), detailing tools such as AutoCAD, and a deep understanding of interdepartmental processes and services. Strong proficiency in advanced trigonometry and geometry is also required.

Qualifications Drafter 1
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce neat, accurate, and easy-to-follow fabrication documents that reflect design calculations and comply with manufacturing limitations.
Provide clear and accurate permits, approval, and erection drawings that meet purchase order requirements and include all necessary erection details.
Manage a dynamic schedule that may include last-minute additions or shifting priorities.
Communicate needs and challenges with the team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Respond promptly to calls, emails, and other correspondence from customers, design, or manufacturing teams without causing delays.
Offer expertise to resolve field issues quickly and deliver required documentation to support customer service without impacting the schedule.
Strive for continual improvement in productivity, accuracy, and skill development.
Safeguard the company’s interests during field modification investigations.
Be willing to work overtime to meet critical deadlines when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Previous experience with PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings) is not required.
Experience using detailing software such as Tekla, AutoCAD, Trimble Connect, etc.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to different environments and collaborate effectively with others.
Capable of learning document workflows and following detailed instructions.
Able to work under pressure while adhering to established procedures and guidelines.
Proficient in mathematical and trigonometric calculations.

The US base hourly range for this full-time position is $24.03-$46.15 + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
