Data Center Construction QA / QC Manager - Bastrop, TX This opportunity is with a leading EPC Company that designs, builds, and commissions data center solutions. The company builds nationwide mission critical data center facilities for enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale clients. Responsibilities Perform periodic site walk-throughs in order to ensure Company’s procedures and standards are followed. This includes assisting any other support staff and contracted vendors Manage and perform level 1-3 commissioning procedures for the data center project Communicate the status of the operation process with senior management Site acceptance and commissioning of the facility to ensure the site meets the superior and dynamic standards of Company Standards Assist in the development of procedures / Method of Procedures (MOPs) for the DC build in addition to approving MOPs for data hall work Supervise the on-site management the facility manager, facility technicians, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all level 1 -3 commissioning is performed according to established practices and procedures Manage at a high level – the client relationship and act as escalation point of contact for the company for the site Manage the establishment of performance benchmarks, conduct analyses and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance Work with business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability and efficiency Review MOPs and SOPs for all work on critical data center facility equipment Ensure that a constant state of readiness in support of the mission goal of 99.999% uptime Conduct critical facilities Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program analysis and reporting Design Critical Environment Programs for both internal and external clients Coordinate with Design/Construction Team Assess, recommend and implement industry best practices into new and existing Critical Environment Programs Develop process documentation and training materials Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience including Military a plus Certifications as a Cx Professional (BCxP, CxA, CCP, etc.) a plus NETA / NICET certification a plus Journeyman or Master’s License in MEP a plus 5-10+ years of data center facility construction and commissioning experience Data Center Project experience on projects 5 MW or larger a plus 3-5 years of Quality Assurance / Quality Controls, Commissioning, MEP Coordination, or other relevant experience Previous experience working with a GC or 3rd Party CxA Company a huge plus Solid Understanding of Critical Electrical Power Systems or Mechanical / HVAC equipment in a data center environment Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans a huge plus! Experience with Electrical / Mechanical: Navy nukes - EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc. Proficient in the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, Teams etc.) Experience with BIM 360 / ACC, CxAlloy, end user ACMS as necessary Strong verbal and written communications skills; Good presentation skills Superior analytical, planning and problem resolution skills Highly organized with proved project management abilities; self motivated Strong organizational skills and detail oriented Strong customer service skills Open to travel M-F / home on weekends / limited travel if located near a project Relo available Benefits Company offers competitive salaries and benefits package including medical insurance, a 401(k) plan.
