Job Summary This position collaborates with team members to design residential, commercial and industrial projects. Technical tasks include but are not limited to conceptual site layout, utility design, roadway design, site grading, storm drain design, storm water management, water and sanitary sewer main design, soil erosion and sedimentation control, floodplain studies, permitting and entitlement support, and construction support. Accountability and Duties Design site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Prepare conceptual grading analyses and site layout. Conduct due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer opinions of probable costs, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm water reports, earthwork analysis. Assist in production of final construction drawings. Prepare permit applications for municipal agencies. Assist project managers as requested. Assist with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects. Collaborate with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects. Attend client and public meetings, including days or evenings. Participate in business development efforts as requested. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to interact with a variety of people. Adaptable and able to respond quickly and accurately under pressure. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Fluent in the English language. Availability to work nights and weekends as needed. Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university. At least 1 year of experience. Physical Demand Employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear, occasionally stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May lift or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
