Art Director

Duration: 4-6 months, could extend or convert to a fulltime salaried position Hours : 2-3 days/week onsite; roughly 20 hours/week We are seeking a talented, hands-on Art Director to support high-impact creative campaigns for a leading lifestyle brand. This is an opportunity to shape compelling visual storytelling across digital, social, retail, e-commerce, and print while partnering with a collaborative team of creative leaders, producers, photographers, and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate is an experienced, detail-oriented creative with a strong eye for photography, brand identity, composition, and design. You will bring strategic thinking and production expertise to both seasonal and evergreen work, turning creative direction into polished, brand-consistent experiences from concept through execution. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys balancing multiple priorities, and is energized by emerging tools and innovative workflows. Responsibilities Lead and support art direction for lifestyle, product, and campaign photography across multiple channels. Partner with producers, photographers, stylists, and cross-functional teams to execute high-quality, on-brand creative work. Provide clear on-set direction to maintain visual consistency, storytelling, composition, and brand standards. Translate high-level creative strategy into actionable pre-production plans, including shot lists, styling direction, visual references, props, schedules, and production priorities. Create and evolve style guides, image libraries, workflow documentation, and creative tools that improve quality and efficiency. Use AI-enabled, real-time capture, retouching, and automation tools thoughtfully to expand creative possibilities and streamline production. Manage feedback, timelines, deliverables, and changing priorities with professionalism and strong attention to detail. Qualifications 5+ years of photo art direction experience, ideally within a style-forward consumer, retail, home, fashion, or lifestyle brand. A strong portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling, photography, design judgment, and consistent brand stewardship. Proven on-set experience and the ability to guide teams through fast-paced production environments. Knowledge of styling, interior design principles, production processes, and contemporary creative trends. Familiarity with AI, real-time content capture, retouching, or automation tools is preferred.
