Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
Provides specialized telemetry nursing care within a 10-bed Clinical Transition Unit, monitoring patients with cardiac and MedSurg needs. Delivers safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and interpret telemetry data to identify changes requiring intervention.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (MediTech).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, disease processes, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, clinical, and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in telemetry, MedSurg, or emergency setting.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Show proficiency with telemetry monitors, EKG machines, and electronic health records.
• Be adaptable to floating across ER holds, Telemetry, PCU, and MedSurg units.
