Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a trauma facility setting. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and certifications to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

This role requires a strong background in emergency nursing with a focus on providing excellent care to patients in critical condition. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the emergency room setting.
• Conduct thorough assessments and triage patients based on the severity of their conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Medhost charting system.
• Floating to medical-surgical units as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of recent experience in the emergency room or similar healthcare setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current nursing license as per the state of assignment.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
• Experience in travel nursing is required.

Unit Details

• Trauma facility with 22 inpatient beds and 9 emergency room beds.
• Nurse-patient ratio of 1:5.
• Floating to medical-surgical units may be required.
