Women's Residential Recovery - Director of Operations

We are now seeking a Director of Operations to oversee a Women's Residential Addiction Recovery Program in Pensacola, FL . The Director of Operations will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the work of the organization's employees and clients, as well as the program's activities. This work involves the application of professional and administrative knowledge. General direction is received from the Executive Director. Work is reviewed through periodic conferences and/or the evaluation of plans, reports, and accomplishments. Core Responsibilities Plans, coordinates, and directs the activities of the Ladies Recovery Ministry. Formulates guidelines and procedures in consultation with subordinate employees and with the concurrence of the executive director. Selects personnel and participates in the training and development of staff and clients. Has responsibility for other personnel matters (e.g., disciplinary action, counseling for clients and staff). Conducts/oversees intake for clients, including answering questions, screening applications, interviewing, and selecting program clients. Prepares budget estimates and monitors expenditures as required. Meets with community and provides information regarding the Residential Recovery program. Monitors and adjusts schedules as needed to improve the program. Monitors progress of clients. Researches materials used by the program to ensure sound Biblical doctrine for personal growth and development. Works with probation officers for clients that are on probation. Conducts staff meetings with house managers and counselors to discuss concerns and progress for the clients. Plans graduations as needed. Builds relationships with public defenders, attorneys, jails, prisons, and other similar programs. Sends letters of client acceptance to those that need them. Answers and returns calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely manner. Maintains confidential records and files for each client. Ensures transportation needs are met for each client (e.g., doctors, probation, court). Monitors all incoming and outgoing mail and phone calls. Teaches classes as needed. Enforces rules established by the program and gives correction to clients with Godly love and compassion. Documents infractions and reviews both rules and consequences with the clients. Performs other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of principles, practices, and methods pertaining to drug recovery for women. Ability to teach Biblically based curriculum. Works ethically, professionally, and according to Scriptures. Practices discretion, respect, integrity, dignity, and confidentiality using Scripture based principles. Has the ability to make critical and routine decisions. Provides leadership and supervision without bias or favoritism to clients. Supports the goals and vision of the organization. Forms effective, working relationships with court officials, administrators, subordinates, clients, staff, family, and the public. Continues education related to addiction recovery (C.E.U.s). Qualifications Positive attitude and a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Compatible theology with the Southern Baptist Convention. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a related position. Valid driver's license and insurance under the organization's policy. Agrees with all the policies and procedures of the organization. Committed to serve those that are in addiction. Proficient in the use of a computer (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.). Passes a background check for violent or sexual crimes. Self‑motivated, passionate, goal‑oriented. Has the ability to provide a balanced approach to treating women in addiction. Schedule Full‑time position. Pay Starting salary/pay rate will be based on prior experience. Mental and Physical Requirements While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to hold, reach, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, climb, balance, stoop, and crouch. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Work Environment Noise levels are normally moderate. Employees may occasionally be exposed to outside elements.
