What You'll Do As a Press Operator, you'll play a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating stamping presses and metal-forming equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate stamping presses and secondary metal processing equipment
- Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment to ensure efficient production
- Make minor feeder and stock guide adjustments to maintain proper material flow
- Run both single-stroke hand-feed and automatic press operations
- Perform in-process inspections to verify part quality and minimize scrap
- Ensure parts are produced accurately according to engineering specifications and prints
- Conduct daily machine safety inspections
- Perform data entry and production reporting within company systems
- Operate a forklift regularly to move materials and finished products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and thoroughly
- Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy work ethic
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow safety procedures and manufacturing processes
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience operating stamping presses or manufacturing equipment preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience are beneficial
Equipment You'll Use
- Stamping presses
- Metal-forming and fabricating equipment
- Material handling equipment, including forklifts
- Computer systems for production tracking and data entry
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Frequent lifting, bending, and kneeling
- Ability to work safely around industrial machinery
- Ability to move materials and parts throughout the production area
