MIG Welder Job Details:

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00/hour, based on experience
Location: University Park, IL

MIG Welder Job Description:

• Perform MIG welding on metal components and assemblies
• Fabricate and assemble components according to production specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Measure, fit, tack, and weld components accurately
• Use grinders, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment
• Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and accuracy
• Make adjustments or corrections as needed to meet specifications
• Maintain welding equipment and a clean, organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and proper welding practices
• Work closely with other production team members to meet quality and production goals
• Complete additional fabrication and production duties as assigned

MIG Welder Job Requirements:

• Previous MIG welding experience required
• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, structural, or production welding experience preferred
• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and measurements
• Comfortable using welding, grinding, and fabrication tools
• Ability to produce consistent, quality welds
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled overtime when needed
• Willingness to complete a weld test as part of the hiring process
