Cook For Taco TruckWe are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced cook to join our taco truck in an exclusive new designated location! Our taco truck will also travel across Southern California to special events on occasion. The cook will be responsible for preparing delicious and authentic Mexican dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety and overall ensuring the smooth operation of the truck.Responsibilities:Prepare and cook food items such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and restaurant specifications.Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck, including cooking stations and utensils.Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items.Assist in the prep work, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces and salsas.Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies as needed.Work closely with other truck staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and quick service.Ensure the correct portioning of food to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.Handle special dietary requests or modifications to dishes as per customer needs.Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, countertops, and workstations after each shift.Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating kitchen appliances.Keep up to date with food trends and incorporate new ideas to improve menu offerings.Qualifications:Proven experience as a cook in a fast-food setting, preferably with Mexican cuisine.Knowledge of traditional Mexican cooking methods and recipes.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.Basic understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.Ability to work flexible hours, mostly weekday mornings and some weekend nights, depending on truck schedule.Ability to handle a busy and energetic atmosphere.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; culinary training is a plus.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for long periods of time.Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.Ability to work in a hot, noisy, and fast-paced environment.Benefits:Competitive hourly wage.Employee discounts on food.Opportunities for career advancement.Health and wellness benefits (for full-time employees).If you're enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoy working with people, we'd love to have you as part of our team!
