Description

Our client is seeking an experienced QA Lead with hands-on testing experience and strong knowledge of the Equities domain to support testing across financial services applications. This role requires strong SQL, functional testing, defect management, file comparison, and report validation experience while working directly with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Perform hands-on functional testing across UI, API, data flows, and batch processing
• Create comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and release testing documentation
• Lead testing execution and report on progress, completion metrics, and overall QA status
• Manage defect identification, tracking, prioritization, and resolution
• Perform file comparison testing across data transferred between business and product/vendor platforms
• Validate reports, data outputs, and basic calculations, including tax-related calculations
• Partner directly with business, development, product, and vendor teams throughout testing
• Mentor QA team members and drive testing best practices across releases

Requirements

• 8 10+ years of hands-on QA and manual testing experience; candidates without prior QA experience will not be considered
• Strong knowledge of the Equities domain and North American equity markets
• Strong hands-on SQL experience for data validation and testing
• Clear understanding of the Defect Management lifecycle and processes
• Experience with file comparison testing and report validation
• Strong functional testing experience across UI, API, data, and batch processing
• Strong communication skills with experience working directly with business stakeholders
• Equity compensation/stock plans and test automation experience are a plus
