TEMPORARY Intake Counselor (12 week assignment)

Temporary / Full Time Registered Counselor Opportunity - Ca

Counselor will be responsible for offering support and assistance to patients enrolled in medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder. Utilizing evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach, the counselor will help patients develop individualized coping techniques and symptom management skills that enable them to experience improved quality of life. Through collaboration with doctors, nurses and a multidisciplinary team, the counselor will play a vital role in evaluating patient progress and developing an individualized plan of care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices and state regulations; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
• Conducts initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated.
• Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Registered counselor in the state of California.
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Salary Range:

Salary ranges from $24.06 to $25.06 an hour. The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.
