Food and Beverage Captain (Assistant Manager) - Gianni's Restaurant (Miami Beach) JOB DESCRIPTION LOCATION: Gianni’s at The Villa Casa Casuarina POSITION: Food and Beverage Captain (Assistant Manager) – Gianni’s Restaurant About the Position Gianni’s at The Villa Casa Casuarina is seeking a professional and service driven Captain to join our restaurant team. The Captain plays a key leadership role on the floor, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while supporting servers and coordinating smooth service operations. Responsibilities Supervise and support the service team during daily operations Ensure all guests receive attentive, professional, and personalized service Works closely with other departments ensuring communication flows effectively Develops new and maintains repeat business through effective guest relations Assist with table service when needed and monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience Handle guest requests, questions, and concerns in a professional manner and with excellent customer service Ensure proper setup and cleanliness of the dining room before, during, and after service Support training and development of service staff Regularly ensure all employees are well groomed and in the correct uniform Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, wine list, and restaurant standards Qualifications Previous experience as a Captain, Lead Server, or similar supervisory role in an upscale or fine dining restaurant Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent customer service and hospitality mindset Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure Knowledge of food, wine, and service standards preferred Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Stable full-time schedule.
