Diesel Technician

Position Description Ryder is hiring an experienced Mid‑Level Diesel Technician in Pearl River, Louisiana— offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a Technician career you can feel good about. Driver and Background Requirements Must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire Pass a Ryder Drug TestPass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Responsibilities Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties Perform standard vehicle maintenance Perform standard component inspections and repairs Perform preventive maintenance Diagnose standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required Replace defective components as instructed Perform facility maintenance duties Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available Work in accordance with all federal, provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT) Perform other support duties as required to support operations (e.g., Service Island support) Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug‑Free workplace.
