Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 10-Hour Shifts (0700–1700 or 0900–1900) | 40 Hours per Week | On-Site | Call Required, Including Weekend Call

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Circulating Nurse, managing overall nursing care in the operating room and maintaining a safe, sterile environment throughout cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Perform scrub nurse duties as needed, including preparation of the sterile field, setup of surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions, and passing instruments and fluids to the surgical team
• Manage and maintain the sterile field and surgical specimens during procedures
• Collaborate with the surgical team to perform sponge and supply counts to prevent retained foreign objects
• Provide direct 1:1 patient care for a primary population including cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients
• Support a broad range of procedures including CABG, valve repair and replacement, TAVR, LVAD placement, endovascular aneurysm repair, peripheral vascular procedures, open thoracotomy, VATS, and robotic-assisted surgeries

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a valid Compact RN license
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Prior CVOR experience with demonstrated ability to circulate in cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic operating room settings
• Ability and willingness to take call, including weekend call as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing in cardiovascular or thoracic surgical cases
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical platforms used in thoracic or cardiac procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience in a CVOR or surgical services setting
