Role Overview

We are seeking a multi-disciplinary individual to join our team as a Senior Network Engineer. The ideal candidate should have a background across six or more of the specified infrastructure disciplines. This role involves ensuring service availability, managing network infrastructure, and providing technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily checklists to ensure service availability.
• Manage structured cabling, including patching, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining records.
• Follow and maintain rack elevations and ensure lifting and safety protocols in the data center.
• Handle incidents, requests, and change management through ticketing systems.
• Manage and configure Top of Rack and Core switches with routing logic, particularly Arista switches with CloudVision.
• Configure Active Directory users and groups, maintain DNS records and zones, and set DHCP scopes.
• Administer and patch Linux and Windows Servers.
• Manage firewall and MFA concepts, including Palo Alto firewalls, GlobalProtect Remote Access VPN, and Microsoft Entra ID MFA.
• Utilize CloudVision Cognitive Unified Edge and Forescout Network Access Control (NAC) for wireless network management.
• Manage vSphere clusters, PowerScale storage arrays, and backup systems.
• Handle storage account offsite backups, Microsoft Arc endpoint management, and Microsoft Sentinel SEIM.
• Troubleshoot customer-provided applications, workstations, end-user computing laptops, and OT devices.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of network infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot network problems and outages, schedule upgrades, and collaborate with network architects for network optimization.
• Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access.
• Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy.
• Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Experience with Linux and VMware.
• Proficiency in Active Directory.
• Experience with Tier 2/3 escalations.
• Knowledge of Azure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco Certifications (e.g., CCNA).
• Google Systems Administrator certification.

Physical Requirements

• Physically capable of racking and stacking servers, switches, and general datacenter equipment.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines while handling and installing equipment.
• Good manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
