Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments and formulating individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the clinical team.

  • Providing psychoeducation regarding perinatal mental health to clients and their support networks, empowering them with knowledge and resources.
  • \n
  • Facilitating individual and group counseling sessions, ensuring a safe and encouraging environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
  • \n
  • Working in coordination with a multidisciplinary team, including clinical supervisors and other healthcare professionals, to enhance case management and treatment effectiveness.

  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and compliance with regulatory standards, in alignment with JCAHO, Medicaid, and DBH guidelines.
  • \n
  • Actively participating in staff meetings, training, and case conferences to foster professional growth and development.
  • \n
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with community organizations and referral sources to expand access to mental health services.
  • \n
  • Championing client confidentiality and ethical practice in all interactions and documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily focus on individuals and families seeking mental health support during the perinatal period. You will be providing crucial intervention strategies tailored to address the unique emotional and psychological challenges that arise during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Your work will facilitate improved mental health outcomes for clients and their families within the community.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • \n
  • A valid Social Work License (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) as mandated by state regulations.
  • \n
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • No history of Medical Malpractice Claims, verified by a Third Party.
  • \n
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience in community-based mental health settings, particularly with perinatal populations.

  • Proficiency in maintaining electronic health records and familiarity with current mental health treatment modalities.
