Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients including triage, active labor management, and postpartum support.
• Administer and monitor medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and insulin per established protocols.
• Perform fetal monitoring and respond appropriately to findings in collaboration with the care team.
• Support C-section procedures in circulating and recovery roles as needed.
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as requested.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required.
• At least 1 completed travel nursing contract required.
• Active Illinois RN license required; must apply for Iowa RN license upon confirmation.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required.
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
• Fetal monitoring experience required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in triage, active labor, C-section circulating, and recovery roles.
• Familiarity with a Level 2 trauma center environment.
