Kennel Assistant
New Haven Pet Hospital
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Kennel Attendant to join our animal care team!
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, cleaning, and monitoring their health status.
- Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff during grooming or routine checks.
- Administering medications to animals according to their scheduled needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized kennel environment by disinfecting cages, bedding, and common areas regularly.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet’s care and behavior while providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Prior experience in animal handling, kennel work, or pet care is highly preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure high quality care.
