JOB PURPOSE The HVAC Maintenance Technician's main responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager with fabrication/installation and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, power tools and other equipment throughout the facilities. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Manager. Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * Diagnosis Walk-in / Reach-in: coolers and freezers * Performing maintenance on refrigeration equipment * Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems * Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and following up with warranty services * Fabrication of needed part or materials * Repair machinery and facilities * Perform preventative maintenance on equipment * Install and test new equipment * Responsible for keeping the production machinery running with minimum downtime * Responsible for maintaining repairs to the facilities * Complete paperwork in a timely and legible manner * Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions * Follow safety polices/procedures including wearing necessary PPE * Follow attendance policy and other policies PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS * Required to stand, sit, walk for long periods of time * Frequent use of hands for simple firm, grasping and writing * Occasional bending, stopping, reaching, and climbing * Occasional Lifting, carrying 5 pounds to 50 pounds * Occasionally using cutting utensils (I.E Knives, peeler, etc.) * Exposure to product fumes such as onions, peppers etc. * Exposure to varying temperatures of 45 degrees or less * Exposure to chemicals such as chlorine, etc. * Works overtime as required * Other duties as required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Possess verbal and written communication skills * Experience in fresh food or production environment * 2+ years of maintenance experience * High School Diploma or GED preferred * Must have own transportation * Must have a working knowledge of English language * Basic Mathematical abilities * Ability to interact across departments COMPANY BENEFITS/PERKS * 401(k) * Health, Dental, Vision Insurance and more * Paid Time Off (PTO) The company (Pero) reserves the right to alter, amend, expand or contract these duties and responsibilities as the companies needs evolve.
