Vierra Falls Church, a Vierra Communities property, is seeking Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team. Compensation: Salary Range $45.00 to $53.00 Hourly. Qualifications Prior experience in long‑term care preferred but not required. A nursing degree from an accredited college or university. Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the practicing state. Current CPR certification. Must pass a criminal background check. Proficiency in technology‑driven patient care and HRIS/time‑keeping software. Duties & Responsibilities Direct daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants in accordance with regulations and facility policies. Follow the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents. Ensure compliance with nursing policies and procedures. Participate in admission, discharge, and transfer of residents as required. Assess changes in residents’ status and notify physician, family, or representative, documenting accordingly. Transcribe physician orders and carry out orders as written. Prepare and administer medications per physician orders and monitor for adverse effects. Perform wound treatments, observe for changes, and document as required. Schedule follow‑up appointments and transportation when indicated. Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to the unit. Deliver direct care skills such as colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, IV administration, in accordance with policies. Perform rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff duties are performed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to holistically meet residents’ needs. Participate in management team meetings to discuss census changes and resident status or care needs. Assist in evaluating nursing personnel performance and implement discipline per policy as directed. Inform appropriate departments of concerns or complaints and file grievances as necessary. Report incidents or unusual occurrences to the unit manager, assistant director, or director of nursing and participate in investigations as needed. Participate in end‑of‑life care as required. Ensure adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment and notify personnel of needs. Initiate, review, and update care plans as required. Promote teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication. Participate in the survey process when inspection surveys arise. May participate in QAPI activities as needed or assigned. Ensure infection control principles are followed and correct deficiencies as noted. Other duties as assigned.
