The Quality Control Technician is an integral member of the quality team, helping to ensure product quality and compliance with ISO 9001 requirements. This position performs advanced visual and dimensional inspections, supports specialized measurement and calibration activities, verifies compliance with drawings and customer requirements, and serves as a technical resource for complex inspection concerns. The role works closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and other quality team members to resolve issues, strengthen measurement practices, and support continuous improvement.

**Roles & Responsibilities

**

• Perform visual inspections and dimensional measurements of components using approved measuring equipment to verify compliance with quality specifications and standards

• Identify deviations or nonconformities and document inspection results completely and accurately

• Verify product compliance with drawings, specifications, work instructions, procedures, critical-to-quality features, revision levels, print notes, and customer requirements

• Inspect rubber components using consistent measurement techniques appropriate for materials that have flexibility and require careful touch

• Independently use and interpret results from measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, ID micrometers, tape measures, dial indicators, and go/no-go gauges; use of feeler gauges and height gauges as required

• Operate FARO or other coordinate measuring equipment and support measurement validation activities

• Perform calibration activities and coordinate outside calibrations with qualified suppliers to ensure inspection and testing equipment is properly maintained according to established procedures and schedules

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repair of inspection and measurement equipment as needed

• Provide technical guidance and training to other quality technicians and production operators on inspection methods, blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and measurement techniques

• Assist production personnel with quality-related technical issues while maintaining production pace and quality requirements

• Assist with root cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions, scrap reduction initiatives, and quality system improvements

• Support internal and external audits, ISO 9001 compliance, and company quality objectives

• Follow all safety policies and procedures and perform other duties and participate in Company initiatives as assigned

**Qualifications:

**

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education or certification in quality assurance or a related field preferred

• Three to five years of quality control or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Experience in rubber or plastic molding, quality inspection, tool calibration, or related quality assurance work is beneficial

• Experience with Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

• Demonstrated attention to detail, quality awareness, and accuracy in inspections, tests, measurements, and documentation

• Ability to use measurement equipment and interpret and record results, including micrometers, calipers, ID micrometers, tape measures, dial indicators, go/no-go gauges, feeler gauges, and height gauges

• Working knowledge of manufacturing prints and blueprints, including advanced understanding of dimensions, tolerances, fractional and decimal measurements, critical-to-quality features, revision levels, and print notes; working knowledge of GD&T symbols and callouts

• Basic familiarity with FARO Arm or comparable coordinate measurement equipment preferred

• Basic exposure to manual or CNC machining and familiarity with Fanuc controls, offsets, or basic adjustments preferred

• Ability to maintain production pace while meeting quality requirements, work independently, stay on task, and remain effective when distractions occur

• Comfort with hands-on manufacturing work and a willingness to learn and accept coaching

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to colleagues and stakeholders

• Proficiency using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and other applicable software
