Job Summary

The Lead Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with schedule and quality expectations. This role serves as the primary on-site coordinator, working closely with trade partners and internal teams to drive project progress.

The Lead Superintendent plays a key role in team leadership, field coordination, and execution consistency, while building the foundational skills required for progression into senior-level field leadership roles.

Responsibilities

Project Execution & Coordination

• Oversee daily construction activities from project startup through completion 
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with project leadership 
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections to maintain project flow 
• Assist in forecasting labor, materials, and equipment needs 
• Adjust on-site operations as needed to meet schedule and budget goals 

Field Operations & Quality

• Monitor construction progress and ensure work meets quality standards and specifications 
• Track and resolve inspection deficiencies using Procore 
• Support enforcement of building codes, safety requirements, and project plans 
• Assist in development and execution of site logistics plans 

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards 
• Identify and escalate safety concerns as needed 

Team Leadership

• Lead and support field team members and trade partners on-site 
• Conduct 1:1 check-ins to support development and performance 
• Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment 

Stakeholder Coordination

• Maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors 
• Support communication with internal teams and external partners 
• Assist with site readiness for leasing and marketing activities 

Project Support Activities

• Participate in maintaining procurement logs and tracking materials 
• Coordinate logistics related to material storage and installation 
• Support value engineering efforts and cost-saving initiatives

Requirements:

Experience:

• 4+ years of construction experience with on-site responsibilities 
• Experience in multifamily or similar construction environments 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred 
• Experience with Procore or similar tools 
• OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain) 
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Experience leading small teams or scopes of work preferred
• Exposure to project scheduling and resource planning preferred
• Familiarity with building codes and construction best practices preferred

Compensation and Benefits for Lead Superintendent:

Pay Range: $121,300 - $148,300

Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual’s experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role.
