Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Lead - Dry Granulation

Position Summary Work Schedule: M‑F 6am‑2:30pm 100% based on‑site in Kansas City Catalent’s Kansas City (KCM) facility is a premier site for integrated drug development, manufacturing, and clinical supply services, supporting a wide range of pharmaceutical and biotech products. The Role Responsible for gathering key performance metrics and reporting to Supervisor / department manager as well as submitting work orders for processing rooms and equipment within core group. Ensures 5S standards are met and maintained, drives productivity improvements while maintaining high quality standards, and keeps the facility tour‑ready at all times. Creates and maintains a training program for new technicians within the core group and acts as primary trainer for pharmaceutical technicians. Verifies product quality through visual inspection, supports multiple shift operations, and performs transactions accurately in JDE. Drives reductions in unplanned deviations; troubleshoots equipment malfunctions; manages the work‑order submission and follow‑up process for timely completion. Wears a PAPR, required gowning, and steel‑toed safety shoes when manufacturing in GMP areas. Ensures proper documentation of all batch documents and reviews and approves steps performed by other operators. Performs all other duties as assigned. The Candidate High school diploma or GED; 7+ years of experience with 5+ years in a pharma or cGMP manufacturing environment. Technical degree/certification with 5+ years in a pharma or cGMP manufacturing environment (preferred). Knowledge of equipment process, SQDC leadership, process scheduling, cGMP, FDA, MHRA, DEA guidelines, and solid dosage manufacturing. Leadership qualities or high potential for team management. Advanced operator qualification for specified equipment (minimum). Excellent computer skills. Ability to manage priorities and projects, communicate clearly with all levels of management, and work effectively in a matrix organization. Demonstrated proficiency in Catalent core competencies per supervisor / manager discretion. Ability to wear steel‑toed safety shoes for 8‑12 hours per shift.
