AAT Senior Research Technician

Summary: The AAT Research and Telemetry Technician supports in vivo studies involving telemetry systems. Assists with surgical implantation, data acquisition, and animal care under GLP and AAALAC standards. Supports telemetry-based animal research studies for infectious disease modeling, therapeutic testing, and physiological monitoring. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Implant, maintain, and monitor telemetry devices. Collect physiological data from non-human primates and small animals. Ensure accurate logging and database entry of study data. Support animal welfare, health monitoring, and cage-side observations. Maintain telemetry equipment and troubleshoot as needed. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with GLP and AAALAC compliance. Skilled in surgical prep and recovery monitoring. Proficient in data collection software and lab instrumentation. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in animal science, veterinary tech, or biology. Minimum 4+ years in preclinical animal research and telemetry studies. Experience in animal handling, dosing, and telemetry. Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance eligibility, with no access to classified information, is required. Enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required. Preferred Qualifications: ACTIVE SECRET is preferred LAT or LATG certification preferred. Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $38.00 to $43.00 hourly.
