Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Float Position in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time registered nurse role involves providing patient care across various units within the facility. The nurse will coordinate and implement patient-centered care, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained in a fast-paced environment. The position requires adaptability to different clinical settings and a commitment to delivering compassionate care to diverse patient populations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico registered nursing license or current Compact state license, BLS certification via American Heart Association (AHA), ACLS certification via American Heart Association (AHA). No minimum years of experience required; relevant clinical skills and knowledge appropriate to adult patient care are expected.
• Additional Qualifications: Certification requirements may vary depending on unit assignments; additional certifications could be necessary based on floating locations.
• Float: Float rotation may be required across multiple units, with flexibility to adapt to different patient populations and care protocols.
• Summary: The registered nurse will obtain and document initial assessments, develop individualized care plans, and deliver timely interventions aligned with nursing standards of care. Responsibilities include reassessment, patient education, discharge planning, performance of Point of Care testing, and collaborative team communication.
• Responsibilities: Delegates and coordinates clinical tasks, participates in orientation of new staff or students, and maintains effective communication with team members to ensure high-quality patient care. Promotes a positive work environment, supports organizational growth, and maintains confidentiality and professionalism.
• Customer Relations: Exhibits behaviors that generate high patient satisfaction, demonstrates effective communication skills, and supports the mission and values of the organization.
• Other Responsibilities: Assists with special projects, interprets policies, and maintains safety and environmental standards. Demonstrates flexibility and professional growth initiatives.
