Exciting Opportunity for a Utilization Review Care Manager! Job Description:
- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
- Location: Remote (Must work in Pacific Standard Time)
- Equipment Provided: Laptop, keyboard, and mouse
- Licenses Required: Must have a California license Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct utilization review for acute hospital admissions and continued stays
- Collaborate with various service lines and levels of care, including inpatient and outpatient settings
- Utilize the Epic charting system and InterQual criteria to assess medical necessity
- Work with a variety of adult and pediatric acute and chronic diagnoses Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute medical care management and utilization review in a hospital setting
- Proficient in Epic and have recent experience (within the last 6-12 months)
- Knowledge of Medicare and compliance regulations (e.g., CC44s, ABNs)
- Experience with HMOs, IPAs, and Medi-Cal required Working Conditions:
- Must commit to a rotating schedule, including every other weekend
- Strict adherence to California labor laws regarding breaks and lunches
- Flexibility is required to support four facilities References Required:
