Ultrasound Technologist

Shift Timings: Day Shift

Job Description:

• Performs general or vascular ultrasound exams.
• Assures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam procedure and collects pertinent information prior to the ultrasound procedure.
• Reviews exams on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checking for quality and completeness. Completes proper paperwork and distributes exams for interpretation.
• Efficiently performs all tasks within their designated room, including cleaning and stocking their room, cleaning the machine and filter, and deleting exams off the machine daily.
• Demonstrates regard for patients’ safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization and positioning of patient.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Certification:

• Sonographer | North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners
• Sonographer | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 days of Start Date
