Job Description

This role focuses on accurately picking orders for shipment and supplying materials to assemblers in a bright, temperature-controlled warehouse and manufacturing environment. You operate a variety of material handling equipment, work with RF scanners, and support shipping, receiving, inventory, and packaging activities to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently for shipping according to established procedures.
• Retrieve and deliver materials to assemblers to support ongoing production and assembly activities.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (including stand-up forklifts) and pallet jacks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use RF scanners to locate, pick, and track inventory and orders throughout the warehouse.
• Perform material handling tasks including loading, unloading, moving, and staging products and components.
• Assist with shipping and receiving functions, including preparing orders for shipment and processing incoming materials.
• Support packaging activities to ensure products are properly packed, labeled, and ready for delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory by following scanning and documentation procedures.
• Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse protocols while working in shipping/receiving, assembly, SMT, and quality check areas.
• Remain on your feet for most of the shift, walking throughout the facility and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to safely operate forklifts, including stand-up forklifts, and pallet jacks.
• Experience with order picking, packing, and general warehouse labor.
• Ability to use or learn RF scanner technology for inventory and order processing.
• Experience in material handling, shipping and receiving, and packaging activities.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand or walk throughout the workday.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking, inventory tracking, and packaging.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in an RF scanner-based warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with inventory control processes and basic warehouse documentation.
• Comfort working across multiple areas such as shipping/receiving, assembly, SMT, and quality checks.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in a fast-paced production and warehouse setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BLOOMINGDALE, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
