We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a 13-week W2 contract assignment supporting our high-acuity group home programs. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with LTAC, ICU, PCU, or medically complex care experience who are looking for consistent scheduling, meaningful patient relationships, and the opportunity to make a direct impact outside of the traditional hospital setting.

Position Overview
The Contract Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to medically complex residents within a home and group home setting. This role includes performing comprehensive assessments, medication administration, ventilator and tracheostomy care, emergency response, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
This assignment requires strong clinical judgment, reliability, accountability, and comfort working independently in a specialized care environment.
Reports to: Director of Nursing (DON) / Clinical Leadership Team
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Assessments
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor resident conditions throughout assigned shifts
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans
- Identify changes in resident condition and respond appropriately to clinical concerns or emergencies
- Support residents requiring ventilator management, tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and G-tube support
- Deliver compassionate, resident-centered care while maintaining safety and quality standards
Medication Administration & Treatments
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following physician orders and nursing protocols
- Monitor for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions
- Maintain accurate Medication Administration Records (MARs) and clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory staff, and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident care needs
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with Charge Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, CNAs, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Communicate changes in resident condition promptly and professionally
- Participate in care coordination and shift handoff communication
- Support a collaborative and team-oriented care environment
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete documentation thoroughly, accurately, and timely within the EMR system
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control standards, and organizational policies
- Support quality assurance and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Follow all organizational protocols and clinical procedures consistently
Emergency Response & Resident Safety
- Respond confidently to medical emergencies and changes in resident condition
- Ensure emergency equipment and respiratory devices are functioning and available
- Promote a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Experience
- LTAC, ICU, PCU, critical care, or medically complex nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care strongly preferred
- Home health, subacute, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience a plus
- Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience preferred

Certifications
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
Schedule Expectations
- 13-week contract assignment
- Full-time schedule
- 12-hour shifts available (days and nights)
- Strong attendance and reliability are essential for contract eligibility and successful completion
