Job Description

I have a unique opportunity with a client in Cerritos, CA. This firm serves as general counsel for a variety of clients and handles employment and business litigation throughout California. If you have an employment litigation background and are looking to join a laid-back and collaborative team that isn't 100% litigation, this may be for you! The role is 50% General Counsel compliance, 25% civil litigation and 25% handling buying and selling of companies. There is no hard billable hour requirement, but the target is 1600-1700 per year.

The ideal candidate-

• 4+ Years of Civil Litigation Experience (single plaintiff employment, class action defense, PAGA, contract disputes)
  
  
• Admission in California- in good standing
  
  
• Ability to develop strategy and lead assigned caseloads
  
  
• Detail oriented, hard-working, punctual and a self-starter
  
  

What you will be handling-

• Ability to consult businesses to prevent, navigate, and resolve complex legal issues
  
  
• Researching and resolving legal disputes, ensuring they are understood by clients
  
  
• Drafting, reviewing, completing, and filing legal paperwork
  
  
• Conducting depositions and court room appearances
  
  
• Negotiating contract terms, transactions, and settlements, including M&A
