Scott's Miracle-Gro is seeking multiple experienced and dependable Material Handlers (Forklift Drivers & Production Support) to join our team.

We are specifically hiring for the following locations and shifts:

• Orrville Location: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 1:30 AM, Monday–Friday; Weekend overtime as needed)
• Shreve Location: 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday; Weekend overtime as needed)
• Shreve Location: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 1:30 AM, Monday–Friday; Weekend overtime as needed)

Pay Rate & Benefits

• 1st Shift (Shreve): $20.00 / hour
• 2nd Shift (Orrville & Shreve): $21.50 / hour
• Temporary Associate PTO Program:
• • Earn 1 (8-hour) Paid Time Off day per month.
  • Must be actively employed and working on both the 1st and last working day of the month to be eligible.
  • PTO days are paid at straight time, must be taken in whole 8-hour blocks, and can be scheduled in advance or used when calling off.
  • Cap of 5 earned/unused PTO days at any time (if you reach 5 and use 1, you can begin earning again).
  • Earned/unused PTO is paid out at termination, but does not roll over into the new Fiscal Year (October).

Job Responsibilities

• Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move product loads around the facility. Conduct pre-shift safety checks, ensuring fluid levels (oil, water, and fuel) are inspected prior to operation.
• Production Support: Assist production lines, associates, and robotic cells throughout the finished goods process. This includes building boxes, case goods, hanging, sealing, and stacking finished goods to ensure material flows consistently and efficiently.
• Housekeeping & Maintenance: Perform all housekeeping duties, up to and including re-stacking material and shoveling material from under conveyors. Assist full-time associates with clean-outs and end-of-cycle counts.
• General Duties: Complete all other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent forklift experience required.
• Ability to work in a dusty environment and withstand varying weather conditions (hot, cold, and rainy).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds .
• Ability to climb ladders and work on your feet for most of the day .
