We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to assist our company in supporting the customer experience with industry related skills and experience to coordinate and lead safe and efficient distribution planning, promoting customer satisfaction. A Logistics Coordinator facilitates communication between sales, production, and distribution stages to promote a positive sales delivery experience. Their responsibilities often include:

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, plan and execute distribution operations as per company procedures.
• Prepare and maintain necessary logistics documentation including working with customs officials to effect release of shipments.
• Examine and issue proforma invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations.
• Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated and communicated.
• Track and trace product while enroute to their destinations, expediting when necessary.
• Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up functions, enter data, or process information and pulling reports as needed.
• Build and maintain spreadsheet models to capture internal/external shipping costs and revenues.
• Assist cross functional teams in coordinating preparation and completion of finished product for timely shipment.
• Responding to customer inquiries and referring through to the proper channels.
• Coordinate distribution team, manage equipment maintenance and compliance, and support shipment budget planning.
• Coordinate internal and external transportation partners according to availabilities and requirements to arrange pick-up and delivery activities.
• Support backup coverage for Yard Coordinator and Parts Clerk responsibilities.
• Ensure the quality of all services provided meets the company's commitment to the customer experience.
• Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Degree or equivalent work experience in business administration, logistics or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics coordination required.
• Working knowledge of legal regulations, DOT requirements, and import/export transactions.

• Candidate must display excellent initiative and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and/or experience with logistics coordination.
• Valid and Insurable driver's license.
• Experience operating a forklift, preferably large material movement.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Works well under pressure, under stress with the ability to maintain composure and professionalism.
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail to prevent shipping errors, documentation mistakes, and inventory discrepancies.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with drivers, carriers, warehouse teams, and customers.
• Adaptability to changing volumes, last-minute schedule changes, and shifting customer demands.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Collaborative approach working with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
