By joining our network, you position yourself for opportunities aligned with your career goals.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.Document inspection results accurately in the quality management system, including non-conformances and disposition recommendations.Utilize various precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and CMMs.Initiate and process non-conforming material reports (NCMRs) for rejected incoming goods and coordinate with suppliers for resolution.Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to resolve quality issues related to incoming materials.Maintain inspection equipment by performing routine cleaning and calibration checks.Adhere to all safety protocols and quality procedures within the inspection area.Recommended QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.1-3 years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (GD&T knowledge a plus).Demonstrated ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.Bonus QualificationsExperience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.Familiarity with various measurement tools beyond basic calipers/micrometers (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, hardness testers).Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, molding, welding) and their impact on part quality.Job Titles That Should ApplyIncoming Quality Control Technician, IQC Technician, Receiving Inspection Technician, Quality Inspector, Material Quality Inspector, Quality Control Inspector, Incoming Material Quality Technician, Incoming Goods InspectorWhy The Pivot Group NetworkThe Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
